December 2016 – The Boston Globe honored soccer standout Bailey Kolinski (above), a four-year goalkeeper for the Brewster Bobcats, and junior field hockey standout Emily Erne with All-Star and All-Team honors, respectively.
Kolinski, who is from Derry, New Hampshire, earned All-Scholastic NEPSAC Class C All-Star honors in girls’ soccer. She has verbally committed to Big 10 Ohio State University. Earlier in the month, Kolinski was among 81 high school seniors selected to play in the TeamSnap High School Soccer All-America Games in Raleigh, North Carolina.
During her Brewster career, she earned 38 career shutouts (a school record); tied for season shutout records her junior year (12); and helped to tie the team’s goals’ against record (6 goals against in 2016).
Emily Erne, a junior from North Branford, Connecticut, was selected to the All-Scholastic NEPSAC All-Tournament team. A forward, Erne is a two-year member of the girls’ varsity field hockey team and scored a critical goal in quarterfinal play against New Hampton School in the NEPSAC tournament.
