Soccer, Field Hockey Players Earn Boston Globe All-Star Honors

December 2016 – The Boston Globe honored soccer standout Bailey Kolinski (above), a four-year goalkeeper for the Brewster Bobcats, and junior field hockey standout Emily Erne with All-Star and All-Team honors, respectively.

Kolinski, who is from Derry, New Hampshire, earned All-Scholastic NEPSAC Class C All-Star honors in girls’ soccer. She has verbally committed to Big 10 Ohio State University. Earlier in the month, Kolinski was among 81 high school seniorsimg_6560 selected to play in the TeamSnap High School Soccer All-America Games in Raleigh, North Carolina.

During her Brewster career, she earned 38 career shutouts (a school record); tied for season shutout records her junior year (12); and helped to tie the team’s goals’ against record (6 goals against in 2016).

Emily Erne, a junior from North Branford, Connecticut, was selected to the All-Scholastic NEPSAC All-Tournament team. A forward, Erne is a two-year member of the girls’ varsity field hockey team and scored a critical goal in quarterfinal play against New Hampton School in the NEPSAC tournament.
